Declaration of Faith

SALVATION OF MANKIND

God’s love was extended to the whole world “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost, but may have eternal life” (John 3:16)

The conditions that God establishes to be saved: Repentance of sins and faith in Christ (Mark 1:15, Rom 10: 9)

According to the Bible, faith without work is death. Performing good deeds does not save mankind, but good deeds are evidence of our faith.

Internal evidence of salvation is the direct testimony of the Holy Spirit (Ro 8:16)

External evidence is holy and changed life (2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 4: 22-24, Titus 2:12, Gal.5: 16-25).

BAPTISM IN THE WATERS

Jesus himself gave the commission to be baptized: he said to his disciples: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned “(Mark 16: 15-18)

What does it mean? It is a ceremony where a person is submerged in the waters. Baptism comes from the Greek word “Baptizo” which means to be completely immersed in water.  (John 3:23, Acts 8: 37-39)

Theology in Baptism – When the person is baptized, he or she is not only demonstrating the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, but also demonstrating union with Christ.

Can a person be saved if he does not have a baptism?

Salvation produces obedience, and believers are obedient to baptism. On the day of Pentecost, 3,000 believed, 3,000 were immediately baptized, and 3,000 followed. Baptism is inseparable to salvation because it is an act of obedience.

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that all believers have been granted the privilege of receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49, Acts 1: 5, Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:39, Acts 1:8) for the purpose of investing us with power and authority to be witnesses to the world of his love and grace, and enabling us to develop a fruitful and virtuous life (John 16:13, Acts 6:11).

THE DISTINCTION AND THE UNITY IN THE TRINITY

Christ taught the distinction of persons in the Godhead in very specific terms of the relationship between them as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 11: 25-27; John 14: 16-17) The Son is constituted the Son and not the Father and that the Holy Spirit constitutes in himself the Holy Spirit and not the Father or the Son. However, the three people in the Trinity are in a state of oneness.

IDENTITY AND COOPERATION IN DIVINITY

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are never identical as persons, they do not get confused in their relationships, they do not divide with respect to the Divinity, they do not oppose cooperation. The Son is in the Father and the Father in the Son in terms of their relationships. The Son is with the Father and the Father with the Son in terms of fellowship. The Father does not come from the Son but the Son does come from the Father in terms of authority. Regarding relationship, cooperation and authority, the Holy Spirit comes from the Father and the Son. Hence, no person of the divinity can exist or act separately or independently of the others. (John 5: 17-30, 8: 17-18, 1 Cor 12: 3-6)

THE LORD’S SUPPER

We believe that it is an ordinance of our Lord Jesus Christ. Mt. 26: 26-28.

They are used as elements, bread and juice of the vine, symbols that express our participation in the Divine nature of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jn. 6: 53-56.

It is a memorial of the suffering and death of Christ. Lc. 22: 19-20.

It is a prophecy of his second coming. Therefore, it is a means of communion for all believers “until he returns”. 1 Jn. 1: 7; 1 Co. 11: 24-31.

THE BIBLE

Matthew 4, and Luke 4 says, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” “If you loved me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15).
Martin Luther said “The Bible can not be simply understood through study, you need the help of the Holy Spirit” The Bible passes the history test, passes the reasoning test but to really believe you need the help of the Holy Spirit. Our faith is based on God, not on ourselves and our reasoning. In doubting the New Testament text, you have to doubt in all the ancient books. The bible has more manuscripts than any other ancient book. There are multiple copies of biblical manuscripts from different geographical places. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were witnesses and wrote what they saw. There are historians outside the bible who still talk about Jesus as the Messiah as Josepho the first-century historian, and Pliny the Younger Roman historian.

SANCTIFICATION

Sanctification is a state of grace to which the believer enters by accepting Christ. Its reception is immediate and its progressive development.

It is the will of God. 1 Pe. 1-15; 1 Ts. 4: 3

It is a necessity and a duty of the believer. 1 Ts. 5:23; 1 Pe. 1: 2

It is a requirement to see God. He. 12:14; Ps 24: 3-5; I Peter 1:16.

THE DIVINE HEALING

We believe in physical, mental and spiritual healing by the power of God and his word based on the atoning death of Christ. Is. 53: 4-5; 1 Pe. 2:24; Ps. 107: 20.

It is a promise and privilege for all believers. Mr. 16: 17-18; Mt.10: 8.

It is received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Stg. 5: 14-16; Hch. 4:10

THE FINAL JUDGEMENT

There will be a final judgment in which the dead wicked will be resurrected and judged according to their works.

The devil and his angels, the beast, the false prophet and everyone who is not found in the book of life, will be consigned to eternal damnation in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, this is the second death. Rev.20: 10-15, 21: 8; Mt. 25:46; Mr. 9: 43-48.
